about photopublishing practices now
photopublishing is a way for one's own images as well as other's photographers' work to be viewed and recognised by a wider audience. an example of a photographer using the medium of publishing for another person's images is:
In Almost Every Picture edited by Erik Kessels (KesselsKramer, Amsterdam, 2002). In this book Erik has compiled a wide range of images that he found at a car boot sale of a mysterious woman, photographed by her husband. The images are very old images as the colours are faded in a warmer tone and there are some scratches that give the images an artistic painting effect in print. The images have a very small text of date and location that occupy that period of photography. The lady is portrayed in various situations, holiday locations in various poses. This is a semi portrayal of her life pictured at different stages although she seems lonely as she is the only focus in the images, she is always seen to be glamorous and smiling as if content with her situation.
